Calling all skilled 3D character animators!
We’re looking for an experienced freelance animator to bring the characters of Liminal Point to life—starting with the main character’s locomotion and melee combat animations, and expanding into enemy animation that’s twisted, symbolic, and deeply unsettling.
This is a 3D animation role only. Please do not apply if you only have experience in 2D.
What You’ll Be Animating:
Player locomotion: walk, run, idle, crouch, turns, transitions
Combat: for weapons like handguns, shotguns, melee attacks, dodges, reloads, stuns, etc.
Enemies: horror-driven behaviors, unnatural movement patterns, combat attacks
(Optional) Cinematics, depending on availability and fit
Requirements:
Strong keyframe animation skills for realistic humanoid characters
Experience with Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or animating in Unreal
Comfortable creating your own animation control rigs (not character rigging, but animator-side controls)
Must be able to export animations in FBX format for Unreal Engine
Proficient enough in Unreal Engine 5 to preview/test your own animations
Ability to match and maintain a consistent visual and emotional tone
Bonus: Basic knowledge of rigging or collaboration with riggers
While we can’t offer AAA rates, this is paid freelance work, and we’re looking for collaborators who want to help define the look and feel of an atmospheric, story-rich indie horror experience.
If you’re passionate about animation and want your work to stand out in a psychological horror game, we want to see your reel.
